Details and colors on this TV is phenomenal, especially considering the price. I received compliments on the image several times, in some cases by people who would normally have to be reconciled with the kind of thing.
The primary objective of plasma is image retention and it is certainly something to consider. But so far I have not encountered any problem at all despite the use of television to play games, watch TV in 4:3 format and the network's obsession with keeping their logo somewhere on the screen.
That said, to find an LCD of similar quality, you must watch television much more expensive.
